Limited biographies of my 3x Great Grandparents being written. Due to potential copyright restrictions these will be mainly details based with sources noted rather than include images in most cases. They are also being done in different styles currently as still trying to get used to WordPress so thought this was one way of testing out the capabilities of it for display purposes.
In order to improve ease of tracking connections on my personal family tree I have attributed ancestral lines to different groups at 2x Great Grandparent level. It is particularly useful when working with DNA matches to use the following notations as these help see which lines they connect on according to research even if not necessarily the DNA being shared via these routes.
Therefore, when looking at 3x Great Grandparents couples they have the same identifier (P for Paternal or M for Maternal and numbers from 1 to 8) and so do any ancestors of them in my cataloguing offline.
P1 – Robert Martin COLLINS (1815 – 1885) and Sarah Elizabeth Wilhelmina BAILLIE (1808 – 1859) based in Kent, England.
P2 – Thomas KEMP (1828 – 1907) and Eliza BELSEY (1833 – 1910) based in Kent, England.
P3 – Thomas William GOOSEY (1817 – 1895) and Mary ARCHER (1825 – 1876) based in Northamptonshire, England.
P4 – William Marshall POOR (1828 – 1876) and Mary KINGSHOTT (1829 – 1888) based in Sussex, England.
P5 – Stephen ELGAR (1808 – 1858) and Hannah DAWSON (1815 – 1914) based in Kent, England.
P6 – John COCK (1818 – 1891) and Mary DRAYSON (1818 – 1895) based in Kent, England.
P7 – Thomas DIXON (1815 – 1900) and Eliza MARSH (1814 – 1886) based in Kent, England.
P8 – George HAMBROOK (1820 – 1891) and Maria CLEMENTS (1821 – 1899) based in Kent, England.
M1 – George WARD (1821 – 1892) and Alice DOBSON (1829 – 1873) mainly based in Lancashire, England although George was born in Shropshire, England.
M2 – John Edward TUTT (1833 – 1900) and Margaret Ann ELLENDER (1837 – 1930) based in Kent, England.
M3 – David TAYLOR (1799 – 1878) and Sarah RIGDEN (1809 – 1842) based in Kent, England.
M4 – James Edward GOODMAN (1813 – 1895) and Mary Ann KENNETT (c1816 – 1895) based in Kent, England.
M5 –_____ _____ (XXXX – XXXX) and Ellen Alicia GAVIN (1849 – 1881). She was born in Northern Ireland, spent time in England on and off but the family ended up living in Glamorganshire, Wales. As yet do not have confirmation of her partner. We have a name of whom it may be but is difficult trying to prove due to limited descendants of that person.
M6 – Edward Vincent MARSH (1845 – 1920) and Maria TUPPER (1844 – 1926) based in Kent, England.
M7 – Benjamin HOLMANS (1822 – 1908) and Margaret Mary BANKS (1831 – 1889) based in Kent, England
M8 – John UNDERDOWN (1838 – 1892) and Johannah GIBBONS (1842 – 1919) based in Kent, England.
